Alex made another tutorial video on how to make a cocktail called “Purgatorio”. This cocktail tasted very fancy but very easy to make with a few ingredients. It was made out of Grey Goose L’Orange Vodka, St Germain Elderflower Liqueur, Aperitivo Aperol, Fresh-Squeezed Lime Juice and Fresh Mango Purée. It was very easy to drink with a smooth and citrus finish.
This song “I Don’t Want To Change You” by Damien Rice suited very well with this cocktail.
Hubby started this YouTube channel called “The Mixing Touch” for showing people how to make fancy cocktails at home with his own twist. The first tutorial that he produced was “Pink Flamingo”. This video was very easy to follow (see below). The drink was very sweet and smooth, almost tasted like a juice.
I couldn’t believe that I actually found this song called “Pink Flamingo” by Makala on YouTube.
Alex’s bartender side came out again tonight. He made a Clermont Smash with some new liquors that he bought today. This cocktail could be sold at any high end cocktail lounges in Manhattan for $15+. I only tried one sip and loved it. Cheers to a Saturday night.
Alex discovered this cute outdoor bar in Lower East Side called Bonnie Vee. Maybe it was during such an odd hour, no one was there. We had the whole back yard to ourselves. There were plenty of couches and tables. It was pretty relaxing. I had a lemonade with less sugar. Alex had Arnaud and salt & ash cocktails. He liked both of them.
Wasted by Tiësto would suit well with this happy hour.
We visited the Signature Lounge on the last night of our Chicago trip. There’s no doubt that this place definitely had the best view of Chicago and free (of course, you had to buy the drinks, which weren’t cheap). Ladies, please visit the restroom! The view from there was awesome and could make the guys jealous! The cocktails were very bad. I only took two sips. I would definite come back here for the daytime view.
This view could definitely pair with Stay The Night by James Blunt.
We finally survived another week of busy work. Alex’s bartender half came out and made a Moscow Mule with Grey Goose, ginger beer and freshly squeezed lime juice in a copper mug. Very refreshing. I felt very lucky that I could enjoy an authentic cocktail at home.
I chose We Are One by Kiss. Not to mention we are going to watch Kiss and Def Leppard concert soon. Can’t wait.
Please let me know how you think about this pairing.
