Cheesecake Factory and Drowning

Today, Alex and I had our semi-annual dental checkup. On the way back, we stopped by the Short Hills Mall to check out the iPhone 6 and 6 plus in the Apple store. I thought that I made a good choice to preorder the 6+. Alex, on the other hand, preferred the 6.

There was a Cheesecake Factory in the mall, which opened not too long ago. Alex had the spicy chipotle chicken sandwich, which was crispy, tender but not spicy. I had the everything pizza with pepperoni, sausage, peppers, onions, mushrooms, mozzarella and tomato sauce. This was my first thin crust pizza after Chicago trip. I missed it so much! For dessert, we shared the Original, which was very similar to Eileen’s cheesecake, fluffy and light, even though I wasn’t a big fan of the sour cream on top.

Not sure why, I thought Drowning by BANKS paired well with this meal.

Gino and Party in the USA

We joined a Bikes, Bites and Brews tour by Bobby’s Bike Hike, which let us sample from one of the four Chicago favorite foods that were pizza, hot dog, cupcake and beer. Our first stop was at The Original Gino’s East, which supposed to be one of the best pizzerias in Chicago. I believed that we shared cheese & spinach. I have also learned that their crust was made out of cornmeal and I loved it the most so far among the other deep dish places, which wasn’t too hard or dry. Too bad that we had a big lunch in front of the Cloud Gate this morning, otherwise I would enjoy it more.

This place had a big American flag in the middle of the room on the second floor, which reminded me of Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus.
