We have been wanting to visit Gramercy Tavern for a long time. This place has also been rewarded with one star on the Michelin Guide as far as I can remember. Finally, we decided to visit here for celebrating my birthday. During lunch, the dining room wasn’t crowded at all. We had a several dishes and they were all very remarkable: braised Hinona turnips, beet mezzaluna, celery root chowder, duck breast & bacon, and pear pudding. Everything was fresh, seasonal and different than anything that we ever had.
The meal could really work with Stephanie Sun’s 尚好的青春. The song is about we should feel no regrets for our youth.
I have been passing by this place for many year. Today was the first time that we decided to stop by after a 3-hour hiking trip in a nearby reservation. Everyone was very friendly here. The food was very authentic, which reminded me of my hometown cooking. Not to mention, the chef was from Chengdu. We had two appetizers – mixed beef tripe with ma la sauce and Chengdu cold noodles, two entries – Sichuan lamb and sea dragon in spicy sauce. All dishes that we got were spicy. If you love spicy food, you should give them a try.
Since there were a lot of greens (green onions, cilantro, and peas) in the dishes, I thought that 绿光 (Green Light) by 孙燕姿 (Stephanie Sun) paired very well with the meal.
I cut up a white peach and some pineapple and added blueberries, chia seeds and cereal this morning It turned out very tasty and gave me all the nutrition that I needed.
Since I was in rush to get ready for work, I “追” (The Chase) by 孫燕姿 (Stephanie Sun). Stephanie was always my favorite singer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1lyf7vVfay8&list=PL9E11FEB4A64677D0&index=5
